Kisspeptin-10

Kisspeptin-10 is a naturally occurring neuropeptide and the shortest active fragment of the kisspeptin family. It plays a central role in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, stimulating the release of GnRH, LH, and FSH. It is studied for reproductive disorders, hypogonadism, and libido.

Quick facts

Half-life
~28 minutes
Administration
Subcutaneous injection / IV
Primary use
Reproductive health, LH/FSH stimulation, libido

How it works

Kisspeptin-10 binds to the KISS1R receptor on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, triggering a cascade that stimulates LH and FSH release from the pituitary. This makes it a master regulator of the reproductive hormone axis.

Reported benefits

  • Stimulation of LH and FSH — supports natural testosterone production
  • Studied for hypogonadism and fertility treatment
  • Enhanced libido and sexual motivation via central pathways
  • Potential use in post-cycle therapy (PCT) protocols

Typical dosing protocol

Dosing

50–100 mcg subcutaneously, 1–2x daily; or pulsatile dosing to mimic natural GnRH rhythm

Cycle length

4–8 weeks

Safety & considerations

Limited long-term human data outside of clinical fertility research. Not approved for general human use in the UK. Consult a healthcare professional — particularly relevant for those with hormone-sensitive conditions.
