Hexarelin
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide GHRP with one of the strongest growth hormone-releasing effects of any peptide in its class. It also has a unique secondary mechanism — direct cardioprotective activity independent of GH release.
Quick facts
- Half-life
- ~70 minutes
- Administration
- Subcutaneous injection
- Primary use
- Growth hormone release, cardiac protection
How it works
Hexarelin binds to GHS-R1a receptors to stimulate GH release, but also activates CD36 receptors in cardiac tissue, producing direct protective effects on the heart. This dual mechanism makes it distinct from other GHRPs.
Reported benefits
- Potent growth hormone stimulation — among the strongest GHRPs
- Direct cardioprotective effects via CD36 receptor activation
- Improved lean mass and fat metabolism
- Potential for GH axis recovery after suppression
Typical dosing protocol
Dosing
100–200 mcg per injection, 2–3x daily
Cycle length
6–8 weeks — desensitisation occurs faster than with Ipamorelin
Dosing information is for educational reference only. Individual needs vary. Always consult a healthcare professional.
Safety & considerations
Desensitisation occurs with prolonged use — cycle lengths should be shorter than with other GHRPs. Raises cortisol and prolactin. Not approved for human use in the UK. Consult a healthcare professional before use.
